Impact Statement
The National Association of the Mother and Daughter Bonding Network, Inc (NAMDBN) services are divided into three categories:
- Education
- Prevention
- Acceleration
Education Services
Mothers and Daughters Teaching One Another
NAMDBN helps mothers and daughters realize their importance to themselves, each other, their families, their workplace, their communities and the world. NAMDBN’s goal is to teach mothers and daughters love, trust, honesty, and self-respect, while cementing their relationship bond with a sense of strong family ties, as well as community responsibility.
The goal of the program is to help mothers and daughters improve communication and therefore develop better relationships. Mothers and daughters learn skills, strategies and techniques to help improve their bonds through one-on-one dialogs as well as new communicative methods for understanding their intra-conversation (the on-going conversation one has within their mind). Turning their intra-conversations from negative to positive is a direct result of healing and improving the mother and daughter bond.
Increased Skills through Coach Therapy
- Through one-on-one counseling sessions (coach therapy) and Mother and Daughter workshops and discussion groups, each participant will learn coping and communication skills that go beyond the individual needs for reaction and blame. Mothers and daughters are taught to communicate truthfully and to see and accept each other for who they are. These skills lead to greater social skills beyond their relationship, their home and their workplace.
Improved Conditions
- NAMDBN seminars, Mother and Daughter workshops, and group coach therapy sessions are all designed to improve the social and family conditions of each participant. By teaching new skills to cope with old problems, mothers and daughters learn to focus on ways of changing their thinking, behavior and conditioned responses. This leads to greater understanding, acceptance and changed behavior.
- Through the use of the GMVS (good morals, values, and strong family ties) Model, mothers and daughters will realize their importance to themselves, each other, their families, their workplace, their communities, and their world.
- We help develop the skills needed to create and strengthen the mother and daughter bond.
- The mother and daughter relationship is designed for improvement based on love, trust, and mutual respect.
Mentoring
The AmbassaDaughter Program is designed for business women who own their own business, and are willing to temporarily adopt a young lady to mentor and teach her about her business. The program impact is having the daughters understand the economics of being an entrepreneur, the freedom and opportunity of running a business and to earn her own income, and the importance of being able to provide for herself and her family.
Prevention Services
NAMDBN Development Programs
The goals of The NAMDBN Prevention Programs are to preserve families through an honest conversational approach that alleviates stress and focuses on building a natural support system within the mother and daughter relationship that strengthens their families and their communities; improves economic self sufficiency; discourages all forms of violence against mothers and their daughters; and gives daughters the tools to break vicious cycles that have been passed down for generations.
Program Services are available to mothers and their daughters, as well as the entire family. Because every woman is a daughter, that has her own mother/daughter experience, all women and girls are welcome to participate in our mother/daughter services and social events, whether she is a mother or not.
Program services and social events include a few of the following:
- Mother-daughter coach/therapy sessions
- Mother and daughter workshops and educational programs
- Mother and daughter appreciation day
- Mother and daughter blogtalkradio
- Mother and daughter gala with the granny awards
- Mother and daughter cruise
- Mother and daughter community involvement
NAMDBN prevention programs include:
- The Daughters with Mothers in Prison Program works with disadvantaged daughters to maintain healthy relationships with their incarcerated mothers. The impact of this program will be exhibited by daughters gaining and maintaining the self-confidence young daughters need for healthy, happy and honest communicative techniques for improving their mother/daughter bond in spite of their circumstances.
- The No-Struggle Program is designed for grandmothers or very young mothers who are raising children alone. The program impact will be seen as reduced or eliminated fear of these struggling mothers by providing educational programs, mother/daughter techniques, and resources that support their unique circumstances.
NAMDBN program services embrace mothers and daughters of all ages and assist them with directions to find available community resources that can better help them achieve their goals.
Acceleration Services
The National Association of the Mother and Daughter Summit
The Saturday in the weekend before the Mother’s Day holiday, each year, the NAMDBN celebrates with an annual Mother and Daughter Appreciation Day. This event is to accelerate our mission of building stronger families and strengthening relationships between mothers and daughters. Professional women from all around the country and organizations that have already made an impact, will gather together to promote national empowerment of mother and daughter relationships. The impact of this event is to bring together similar organizations that promote the “Bond” between a mother and her daughter.
